ABOUT BASICS
The BASICS mission is to facilitate self-rehabilitation through education. Students learn to develop career, educational and work plans, set goals, prepare and build resumes, practice interviewing techniques, communicate effectively, access technology, create business plans and comprehend basic business concepts. Upon release, BASICS assists with job research, college applications, updating student action plans and career plans. This increases the likelihood of successful reentry for our students.
Bar Association Support to Improve Correctional Services (BASICS) is an offender rehabilitation program sponsored by the BASICS Committee of the State Bar of Georgia. The BASICS program assists participants in becoming and remaining productive members of our communities, staying out of jail after release, by providing effective instruction, guidance, and employment counseling.
