OUR IMPACT

How BASICS Impact

What We Offer

BASICS is a ten-week semester of business and life skills education that inspires motivation and personal development to students. The program offers workshops to residents of Georgia Depart of Corrections, as well as employment counseling to BASICS graduates. Students learn how to start their own business; secure capital/finance; use effective communication skills; how to effectively use electronic and other communication devices; market themselves to potential employers; market their business; access educational and community based resources, including housing and healthcare; and how to prevent re-incarceration.

Society benefits by having fewer people incarcerated. Graduates become taxpayers. They are less likely to reoffend. They support themselves & their families. Whenever a successful graduate becomes a productive citizen, law enforcement and prison costs are reduced and everyone benefits from a safer society.
